Impact

Here is the impact the initiatives below have had on our patient population in 2024.

Health and wellness visits

Dr. Traci‘s House has cared for over 1000 families in 2024 and one out of every 4 people seen at Dr. Traci’s House does not have insurance but still receives the same level of high-quality care that the clinic provides.

Chair yoga

Yoga Instructor, Deborah Palombo, has been an integral part of Dr. Traci‘s House since 2022 and we will be celebrating 2 years of free chair yoga open to the community. Patients, family members and local residents have been able to experience the relaxing and invigorating chair yoga series that occurs every Wednesday at noon at Dr. Traci‘s House.

Book donation support

For the 4th year in a row, Dr. Traci’s House partnered with the phenomenal administrative team at Oak Park Elementary (under the leadership of Principal Ryan Moody) to distribute books and healthy snacks for the entire school! Dr. Traci, along with her hardworking volunteer, Dr. Traci’s mom Shelia, engaged the kids from Head Start to second grade with some of her favorite children’s books. We love to prepare the entire school for reading success!

Community Garden

The community garden continues after receiving a 2-year Pfizer Foundation/American Diabetes Association community grant.  Over the course of the grant, Dr. Traci’s House successfully hosted 213 volunteers, increased access to healthcare to 821 individuals, supported 660 local residence in its community garden, had 97 active participants in its “Cooking with Dr. Traci‘s House” series and provided diabetes support through educational talks, seminars, and workshops to 1196 Tampa residents. Currently, patients and local residents along with a local lead gardener have access to the community garden to plant and grow produce for local use.
